Sweet as a pineapple and oh so much fun, our sweet baby Moochi is turning one. I chose to host a luau for Moochi’s first birthday because we think that pineapple is his favorite food. I was inspired by our March trip to Hawaii. While we are there, we picked up a baby hawaiian outfit for him to wear at the party.
Pineapple Cheese Ball (This might be a new holiday staple for our family)
BBQ Pineapple Meatballs (Embarrassingly easy and SO tasty. I followed the recipe and used a large bag of italian meatballs from Costco)
Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs (OMG GOOD! and healthy!)
Crockpot Hawaiian Chicken Tacos w/ Pineapple Slaw (I used a large container of mango salsa from Costco to save time)
Jalapeno Popper Macaroni and Cheese (I left out the bacon to accommodate vegetarian guests , it wasn’t that great, I wouldn’t make this recipe again)
Hawaiian Tortellini Salad (I left out the meat to accommodate vegetarians and my mom who is allergic to sulfates. YUM. Would make again)
I made the cake and cupcakes.
We purchased Moochi’s outfit at a street market in Hawaii during our trip in March. My dress is from Tory Burch, and is no longer available.
