Last Saturday we took a trip out to Tuttle’s Orchard in Greenfield, Indiana. The pumpkin patch is a fall tradition for our family.
I struggled putting together an outfit because an orchard in October usually means fall clothing… sweaters, capes, riding boots, but it was 80 degrees in Indianapolis. I knew from last year that rubber boots are a must for the pumpkin patch… it’s muddy! In the end, I picked this striped top and jeans because while it doesn’t scream fall, it didn’t feel out of place on an 80 degree October day.

Tuttle’s Orchard and Pumpkin Patch Review:
In summary, Tuttle’s orchard is adorable and very “fallish”. They have a corn maze, hayrides, apple picking and pumpkin picking. We got our pumpkins from the “patch” within walking distance. It didn’t bother me that Tuttles moves pumpkins into the patch with a tractor and they are no longer on the vine. Moochi had so much fun playing with the pumpkins and climbing on them.
The hayride included a recorded history of the farm and information about the Tuttle family. Overall, Andy and I enjoyed it.
My mom got some delicious looking jam in the cute country store. We paid $2.95 for a very small Moochi sized pumpkin. If you are looking for the best value in pumpkins, Tuttles may not be for you – some of the larger pumpkins are a bit pricy. Bottom line – the orchard is adorable and very fall-ish. Older kids may enjoy the corn maze. Moochi just loved playing in the pumpkin patch. We will return to Tuttle’s next year.
