Why I post What I Eat
Have you ever seen one of those posts on a celebrity where a magazine details what the celebrity eats in a day?
Example: Supposedly Carrie Underwood eats: Kashi cereal for breakfast, a Sandwich on Ezekiel bread with tofurkey and beans or tofu with whole wheat pasta for dinner. (SOURCE)
Real People Don’t Eat an “Ideal” Diet
But what happens when she’s on the road? What happens when she decides to have a treat with her kids? What if her husband wants to eat out or eat something special to celebrate?
All of the example diet plans I’ve seen show someone’s ideal day. I wanted to show my real days. Some of my days are really great…. some not so much. I’m still losing weight. A bad day or a bad week doesn’t mean you won’t reach your goals.
You Can do Better Than I Do and Have Better Results Quicker!
That being said…. don’t follow my diet. I’ve been known to binge on chocolate. Sometimes I let myself indulge in Halo Ice Cream and then I don’t eat lunch. I make choices that I shouldn’t. I make sacrifices to try to meet my daily goals. You can do better, but if you aren’t doing better, you can still lose weight. Keep at it. I’ve only lost 75 lbs in 15 months. That’s 5 lbs a month. Its been slow, but its worth it!
